[Humberto]

Helloeveryone, I am Meng Tailong from Brazil.

[Lisa]
Hi! This
is Lisa right now!

[Anchor]

This time we invited two young students to our program. Although one guys from Brazil and one from Russia, they all from Tsinghua University and they are “老北京人儿”. We met at the coffee bar and hope you guys can enjoy this cheerful chat with us.

[Humberto]

I have to introduce myself perfectly, I can say that I have a self-media experience and I have two hundred thousand followers, doing comedy speeches.

[Anchor]

What's all about like in your short videosit's about like your life experiences in Beijing or like?

[Humberto]

It's mostly about life in China, like in general, the good stuff, the funny stuff. I talk about everything. When I do my video when I talk about replying my fans.

[Anchor]

Reaction videos?

[Humberto]

Yes.

[Anchor]

So like I saw some of your videos, you speak perfect Beijing dialects. Could you like speaking something to us, say something in Beijing dialects

[Humberto]

你好,各位瓷器们,我是来自巴西的老北京。

[Lisa]

This is my second year at the year. I haven't been in China for over five yearsso it's a big pressure on me right now. I'm trying to investigate the whole new world for me.

[Anchor]

Do you still remember like when and why did you come to Beijing in the first place?

[Lisa]

Actuallythis story is really long, but long story short to say. That was the first for international students in that Fudan University. That's why like all my family have connection with China. So, because of that I came here.

[Anchor]

How old were you like, really small?

[Lisa]

Yeah, I suppose the first time I came here I was about three years old. I went to the for a vacation with my family.

[Anchor旁白]

Now we know our new friends. Meng Tailong is almost like locals in Beijing. He stayed here while all changes taken place.

[Humberto]

When I was small, like this place was full of culture, like people dancing on the street everyday Chinese music. Everything is like Chinatown in Brazil, but nowadays it changed. I don't know, organized place more modern, something like this.

[Anchor旁白]

But Lisa was not in China almost for five years, this time when she came back again, Beijing really impressed her.

[Lisa]

I've been in China 5 years as I said before, and the difference is huge, because like everything changed. I used to be foreigner for a long time, and that time they wouldn't like even thought of what is comfortable for you are not there, just taking pictures a lotand you're not feeling really comfortable is, but right now is much better. so yeah, it was really noisy, quite dirty before, but right now it's really clean. I don't know how they get that clean, they clean up the whole city.

[Anchor]

You spent your childhood in Russia, right?

[Lisa]

ActuallyI'm always saying that I spent my childhood in Beijing because I was living here from the first grade until the fourth grade. So, I suppose that this is my biggest childhood.

[Anchor]

So when you at fourth grade you went back to Russia?

[Lisa]

Yeahafter I came back again in the eighth grade. We're always moving.

[Anchor]

So what do you think about the thing that attracted you

[Humberto]

I think the most thing attracted me in Beijing is the quiet places, because now Beijing is very urban and there're cars, there're lights and so I just cherish to go suburban places or in the mountains to the Great Wall during the night, just spend some time with the Beijing nature.

[Lisa]

But for me is obviously, people. I have never seen that's like the people that's really curious about you. You even don't know who they are, but they are still caring about you.

[Anchor]

what is the favorite food?

[Humberto]

Maybe places?  “三里屯”. All right for traveling like for one day trip in Beijing, i prefer going to like the areas like hutong. I cherish the culture of part of Beijing and for food of course, all kinds of food. I could say as a Beijinger or as a foreigner, I can say I want to drink douzhi, but not every day that's not for normal people.

[Lisa]

so I haven't been in Beijing for a long time and I don't even remember what was like, what was my favorite places, so I'm discovering everything for myself and I actually I’d like to go to my childhood area, because I have it was like deepest impression, deep memories from this area.

[Anchor]

what's other places or cultures do you guys still want to explore in the future

[Humberto]

I want to explore more about different nations in China like they have 56 nations rightYeah, so for me I was living the mandarin nation for my whole life, so during every trip I want to know more different nations.

[Lisa]

I really want to go to Neimenggu because like it's beautiful all in this province, so I want to go there again see this beautiful place.

[Anchor旁白]

We are very glad to invite you guys to the show hearing so much about your life experiences in Beijing. See you next time
